PASSION is a great word. I am completely attracted to true passion in any form. A friend who is passionate about his coffee shared his passion with me this morning: He roasted the coffee beans last night. He brought them over this morning. He boiled water in a kettle. Made me clean my coffee grinder! Ground beans only to a coarse grind & put them in the “French Press” he brought over. Added boiling water to the coarse grounds until the water made it to the top of the bean level! Then we wait while “carbonation” leaves the grounds; it will rise & then stir to settle. Use “non-metal” ie. “bamboo” to stir grounds, then add rest of boiling water. Let stand for 4 minutes, not 3, not 5, 4! (see photo :) Then grab the French Press & slowly, carefully press down on the French Press. He made 1 cup of coffee for me. All that for 1 cup, for me…
“PASSION is beautiful & makes a great cup of Java” :-)

As I know both the author of this post and the coffee-lover in question, I decided not to settle for simply “liking” this post.
