This week I:
- did a naked photoshoot in the snow
- went to a fashion show
- got drunk while not in the presence of a Johnson (this may actually be a first!)
- went to a death party
- made new friends
- fell in love
- had a sleepover in a swanky post-production studio
- went on a road trip
Marvelous. I really, really want to meet you someday. :)

Evan Lysacek
lialia:
I really liked this SI article on how he beat Evgeni Plushenko last night. It rings true without taking sides.
I don’t know a lot about figure skating. I know enough to be able to understand the accomplishments and the mistakes and I enjoy watching it, but I don’t follow it. What I know? Both on Tuesday and again last night, when Lysacek skated, I couldn’t take my...

People fucking suck
I called in a takeaway order for dinner and swung by the restaurant on my way home from work. I pulled into a parallel parking spot behind this pickup truck and got out. As I was walking around to put money in the meter, the guy in the pickup truck starts up and slams backwards. Into my car.

Sitting at a light side by side, waiting to take a left onto a freeway on ramp, are two cars. The first is me in my 1998 Kia Sephia. The second is some guy with hair like a Ken doll in a brand new BMW 750 Li. When the light changed, who would you expect to reach the freeway first?
The answer should never, ever, EVER be me and my 12-year-old car. Nor should I then be able to out-maneuver said BMW...

90% of the Canadian people live between their border and ours.
– NBC’s commentator during tonight’s coverage.
This may be the single dumbest thing ever spoken on American national television. I’m even including Sarah Palin in this one.

piratekitten:
sushi was both awesome and delicious, and we were given the super fancy upstairs balcony table which i’d never gotten to sit at before. we went to the kitty afterwards (somewhere i haven’t been in a very long time) where i proceeded to get drunk on mojitos until i was playfully telling everyone to shut up, and also that i had to poop. some girl tried to hit on my husband, fell off...
