Reflections on the Streamys
Last night I had the privilege of attending the awards ceremony and afterparty for the first Streamy Awards. The Streamys were created to honor excellence in web television and the people who sweat blood and tears to create for this new medium with no rules.
During the awards ceremony, I was struck with the feeling that I was watching something unique and beautiful, the beginning of a new era. I...

About two months ago I stepped on a scale and made a decision. I’m neither the first, nor the last person to have a similar reaction in that situation, so I don’t think that really counts as the interesting part of the story - just the catalyst.
My driver’s license says that I’m 5’9” and 155lbs. I haven’t bothered changing it since I got my driver’s license in High School. I’m...

Homemade French Fries
mdfsmash:
Seeing as I’m obsessed with french fries, but everyone wants to cook them in a corn based oil product (I’m allergic to all things corn) and have me dip them in ketchup with corn syrup (organic doesn’t have that problem), I’ve taken matters into my own hands, and I’m making french fries with the ridiculous amount of potatoes I have on hand due to recession prices at the grocery store.
